Assessments for all players intending to play Minors AA, Minors AAA or Majors take place this week. The assessments are at Windsor Secondary School and all players should have received an email with their time slot. For those unable to attend the assigned time, make-up assessments will be at Windsor on Mon 20th February.

Assessments are used to evaluate each player in a number of skill areas in order to form the draft lists with the ultimate goal of building balanced teams in each division. Players should try their best at each station, but should not feel pressure about the result of the assessment. All scores will be kept confidential and players/parents will not be told the scores or final rankings.

Each player attends one assessment session only. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your assessment time so that we can stay on schedule. The assessment will take approximately 30 minutes. Please ensure that your player brings their glove, helmet and bat (if they have one), and note that a protective cup must be worn.

Coaching Help

If you signed up to coach or assistant coach this season we would love to have your help at the assessments. We need coaches to run each of the skills stations and to evaluate the players. Please try to attend the assessment for the division in which you have volunteered to coach. If you would like to volunteer at further sessions we would welcome the extra help!

Pants Sale

Players in Minors AA and higher divisions are now required to provide their own baseball pants. All teams wear grey pants with belt as part of their uniform. The league will supply the team jersey, belt and cap. At the assessments weekend, there will be a booth run by Pro Stock selling baseball pants. This is a great opportunity to purchase pants for your player at a significant discount compared to regular retail prices.

Gently Used Equipment Donations

Last year we started a gently used equipment exchange. The goal of this program is to collect items that families have outgrown and pass them along at no cost to players in younger divisions. We will accept gloves, bats, cleats, bags and any other baseball items in good condition. Please bring any items you have donate to your assessment session.
