Babe Ruth

In the Babe Ruth division we are able to accept players that live anywhere in North Vancouver or West Vancouver.

Description The Babe Ruth division is for players aged 17-19 who have aged out of the Seniors division and can therefore no longer continue with Little League. Involves competition using official baseball rules on a full sized diamond, with playoffs at the end of the season. Players within this group will be eligible for selection to the post-season tournament team.
Grade/Age Grade 11/12/Post High School (Jan-Aug 2004, Jan-Dec 2003, Jan-Dec 2002)
Location Games are played at Interriver Park with limited travel to other Lower Mainland leagues
Games Teams play twice per week. The schedule will vary from week to week to allow all teams to play one another. Rained out games are rescheduled.
Practices Teams practice once per week. Teams in this division may also book sessions in the Myrtle Park batting cage.
Teams Teams are made up of 11-16 players. Assessments are not used for this division. Teams are formed via a draft process to try to build balanced teams. If you have a specific player request, please contact the player agent prior to the draft.
Uniform Players receive a team jersey and baseball cap which must be worn to all games. Players return their jersey at the end of the season, but get to keep their cap.
Rules Bat information: It shall not be more than 36 inches in length, nor more than 2⅝ inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30″) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed eighteen (18) inches from the small end. The bat shall not weigh, numerically, more than three ounces less than the length of the bat (e.g., a 33-inch-long bat cannot weigh less than 30 ounces). All bats not made of a single piece of wood shall meet the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) performance standard, and such bats shall be so labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent certification mark.
