Mount Seymour Little League (www.msll.ca) today announced a revolutionary new idea for the upcoming baseball season. The league has decided to no longer have rain-outs. Said President Lenny “Every year rain-outs cause many games to be cancelled. This is disappointing for the kids who want to play baseball, and makes life difficult for our game scheduler who has to find a new time for these rained out games. We looked at the typical weather patterns in Deep Cove and realized that if instead of cancelling the games on rainy days – we only cancelled games when the sun was shining it would be far less disruptive to our season. ”

Under the new policy teams will play games in all forms of Deep Cove rain: light rain, drizzle, showers, heavy rain, persistent rain, and raining cats and dogs. All games when the sun is shining will automatically be cancelled and moved to one of the many available rainy days.

“We feel the players will be much more comfortable with this new system. These are kids who have grown up in North Vancouver, exposing them to sunshine that they are really not used to could be quite dangerous” said Jasmine MSLL player agent.

MSLL will start this new policy from April 1st  #AprilFools  #WeAreJoking
